Shoot for Meridian ITV in Seville

Maximus Productions shot footage to go into a piece on the GB Canoe Sprint squad's Olympic preparations for Meridian ITV while on location in Seville, Spain.

We were there filming with the team, taking advantage of the more reliable climate at this time of year to get some great footage of the athletes on the water. The footage will be used for the athlete's video profiles that go into production towards the end of April.

Freelance Meridian ITV reporter Chris Maughan took the opportnity to fly out & join us to produce a piece on the team's Olympic preparation, given that many of the athletes come from the Meridian area. Maximus filmed Chris's links & interviews & then also supplied background footage, essentially enabling Chris to travel solo, a factor that made his trip possible.

This was the first such 'production supply' projects to be delivered by GB Canoeing to the mainstream media & is one of the core benefits an 'in-house' production facility brings. If Meridian had needed to send a film crew to Seville, it is likely the shoot never would have taken place & the sport would have lost a valuable promotional opportunity.
