Maximus helps secure Olympic Legacy

Maximus Productions helped the British Canoe Union secure the 2015 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships for London’s Olympic Whitewater Centre at Lee Valley.

This bid success is an extremely important achievement for Canoeing, as it is the first sport to secure a major championship at a London Olympic venue, guaranteeing Olympic legacy both for the venue & the games as a whole. It is also a vital piece of good news for the UK Government in its efforts to maximise the future use of Olympic venues.

Four months work culminated in a ten minute presentation to the International Canoe Federation Board at the Marriott Hotel, Paris on the 15th April. The centerpiece of the presentation was the bid video, which featured messages from Lord Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG), David Florence, Olympic Silver Medalist & Shaun Dawson, Chief Executive of Lee Valley Regional Park Authority.

Maximus produced the presentation bid video, mixing material shot in London & at the Lee Valley Venue with footage supplied by BBC Online. We also produced supporting visuals for the speech by UK Sport's Simon Morton & delivered the whole presentation live (including video) using Key Note.
